Our customers asked us: I have a 2016 Subaru Impreza and want the HD style bars but only Euro and Vortex bars show as options. What are HD bars for and why don't I see a listing?

Our Answer: HD bars are only available for certain applications (vans, trucks and SUVs) because they're meant for heavy duty commercial use. The bars have built in C-channels which allows for mounting of Rhino Rack heavy duty contractor grade accessories and carriers. Ladders, shovels, conduit and lumber would be some of the common loads seen on top of HD bars. These bars do not have a higher weight capacity than the Vortex or Euro style bars, but because of the design they would not be suited to your vehicle application.
