Hello Jedge, What year is your Touareg and what brake control are you installing? If you are installing the factory brake control connector on a 2005 to current Touareg you will need to obtain the brake control harness from a Volkswagen dealer. The factory brake control connector is located under the vehicle's dash on the driver's side close to the door. You'll have to remove the appearance panel. The factory brake control connector is underneath the panel and is wrapped in gray foam. Remove the foam and connect the housing to the connector. If you are installing an after market brake controller, we will need to know which model you are installing for installation help.

I have a TDI VW Touareg and need help sorting out the electric brake control. The 7 pin plug is live. Where do I find the location to put a "controller"? The manual for the car suggests I do not need a separate device????
